Conference Hall Coaver Club

Proving the business case for managing your carbon

The UK is the first country in the world to have declared a "legally binding" target on greenhouse gas emissions reduction beyond 2020. “It will establish our competitive advantage in the most rapidly growing sectors of the world economy” Chris Huhne, May, 2011.

"Every unit of economic output will be produced using 1/10th of CO2 emitted today!"

This networking breakfast event will provide you with the knowledge you need to understand why carbon is of increasing importance to businesses and how to manage your organisational carbon effectively. It will provide practical tips on how to implement carbon reporting and how to ensure you are prepared in the changing regulatory climate, as well as how to avoid hidden costs.

Attendees will also be introduced to the NEW Carbon Tracker, this tool, free for all Full Members, enables easy carbon and utilities tracking and reporting within your organisation.

  • Tom Kennard, Zero2050, will cover what is carbon, CO2e and Carbon Taxes
